Beyond the Seminar Table

St. John’s is a lively community of learning. Conversations begun in the classroom spill over onto the quad and the placita, and our students naturally pursue life outside the classroom with the same passion and intensity that they bring to their studies.

Johnnies come from around the world and bring a wide array of talents and perspectives. Through their common course of study these very different students form friendships that last long after graduation. They make sure their voices are heard: they publish their opinions in a student-run newspaper, take to the stage in theater, and sing in choral groups. Students dance, play sports, and are leaders in the local community; they launch clubs and forums.

Life on each of the two campuses has its own character, shaped by the enthusiastic students who make St. John’s their home.
